About Me
Cat sitting in South-East London!
I’m Jess, an animal lover from the countryside living in SE London. I’m currently renovating my flat which means we are not able to get our own cat yet :( This means I’m on the look out for more cats to look after. I have two regulars (not from the app) who I absolutely adore. Mr Ham is a very old boy that needs medicine in his food and Cino and Gwen who are young and healthy. I have looked after Cino from a kitten. I genuinely love them so much I will often get life updates about them when their owners are back in town.
I’ve been around cats my whole life, family cats, housemates cats in house shares and now I am without one which is why I spend my time catsitting.
I’m at operations manager at a drinks company and only work a 4 day week. This means I have a 3 day weekend every week, which means I can spend more time with your cats if you go away then.
Any questions please let me know.
I live in Forest Hill and work in Bermondsey, I would be happy to see your cat in either place. Either before/ after work or if Bermondsey then I could also visit on my lunchbreak. I cycle to work so am able to visit cats anywhere along the route (Peckham, Brockley, Honor Oak).
Before I came to feed your cat or stay the night I would come and meet you (either on my non-working days or after work) so we could go through your routine/ where things are, I can meet the cat/cats and put your mind at rest. I would certainly need that if someone was coming to look after my baby. If you’re happy with this I can either leave with the spare key and return it when you’re back in town or I’m happy to use a lockbox etc. I have previously done both methods with no problems.
Whilst you’re away I will update you with a quick line or two and pictures.
I’m happy giving the cat lots of cuddles and treats if they are affectionate and not shy of strangers. I have also really enjoyed playing with the cats I look after, mouse on string etc. I’m very calm and patient and have managed to win the most stubborn of cats round to a little pet or cuddle.
I have previously looked after two cats who have been unwell, and even taken them both to the vets whilst in my care. One of the cats (old boy) I ended up administering new medication whilst his owner was away. This meant giving constant updates to the vets and the owner.
