Attentive Animal friend

Hello I am a 27 year old animal lover born and based in Southside Glasgow.

I have had close proximity to cats from a young age as my gran has 4 different breeds. I spent my adolescent years growing up with them and have first hand experience of their individual personalities and the respective treatment they command. After my pet parrot went to bird heaven I took the opportunity to use the skills I had learned with my gran’s cats and bought a domestic shorthair 2 years ago. I enjoy spending time with her and cherish the responsibility of caring for another creature.

I work from home majority of the week and drive so mobile within the local area.

I keep the knowledge that “a cat has the brain of a 2 year old” at the forefront of all of my interactions with them!

I am well versed in the “fundamentals” of cat care having used various cat litters and trays before settling on one for my pet. Therefore I am comfortable with cleaning litter trays and giving food and drink bowls a wash before replenishing.

For my own cat I prioritise keeping her stimulated and having fun whether I’m playing fetch with mouse toys or giving her a massage on the couch. As such I am aware cat care differs and whilst I enjoy playing and petting I understand other pets may prefer a more distant approach. Paramount is the cat being comfortable so if that entails a head rub then i’m happy to oblige but totally respect their personal space.
