Smells like cat spirit

Hi, I'm Halyna, I’m 36 years old. I live in Islington in London since Feb 2022, but originally I am from Ukraine. And we Ukrainians love cats!

I've done a few cat sits via the TrustedHouseSitters platform, and although I'm new here on Cat in a Flat, I am happy to share my THS profile which contains a couple of references.

Back at home in 2017, I found an orange kitten. His name is Bob and he lives with my parents. I do not get to see Bob now, and it breaks my heart. Sadly I cannot have a pet right now myself - I rent a 6th floor apartment with a flatmate (and go away for work or vacation from time to time).

Besides Bob, I used to live with a cat at home from when I was 12~ and until I was ~18 years old. Her name was Lesia, she was a Thai cat with the sweetest personality. She loved receiving lots of cuddles from anyone, even strangers, slept with my dad or me in bed, and loved following you around the house for the sake of keeping company.

One more pet I had dealt with closely for 3.5 years as a 10+ y o child was my pet rat. I had to clean his cage daily (and it was much more effort than cleaning after a cat), but he was adorable and lived a long and happy life for a rat.

Besides cats and rats, I have friends or family who own dogs, and I was a pet sitter for them, too.

I work in tech in Marketing roles since 2012. I've been at my last company in London for almost 3 years.

One of my passions is travel — ever I started making my own money, I've been to 70 countries, and even though I'm dreaming of having my own home and tons of cats, I think I will never settle down until I crossed places off my bucket list.

I read a lot of books (mostly on history of WWII these days, as past repeats in the present) so this is how I can spend time while cuddling with your cat (if it allows it, of course).
