Merry Pop-Ins cat sitting service, Pontypridd

I am a mature lady, sensible, reliable, trustworthy - but also fun loving and totally cat-crazy!

My parents had a cat already when I came along, so I grew up with him and to me, a house isn't a home without a cat, or two, or more. I have two currently, a Bombay and her Persian-cross daughter whom I rescued from a broken home 5 years ago. I also regularly look after my friends' cats when they go away, I've done it for years. There's one who was rescued from the diggers in an overgrown garden, he's blind and has lots of health problems. Three others have kidney problems, one has an ulcerated eye - I give them all their special food and medication. The fifth I cat-sit for is one I rescued from a cattery I briefly worked at, where he was left by his owner who became too frail to care for him. My two didn't accept him so he now lives a life of luxury with my bestie!

I decided a year ago I've had enough of being an admin officer and am retraining to be a Hypnotherapist, but want to do something I already love as well...looking after kitties!

To me, cats are as precious as children (or even more so in my case!) and I care for them as such. I send photographs and updates from each visit so mum and dad know they are thriving while they are away.

I am quiet and gentle, so cats often come to me when they won't go to anyone else - and I always let them initiate contact, so they feel safe. If they love cuddles, so do I! If they love to play - bring it on! If they are shy and reserved I won't disturb them but speak to them lovingly. I can give medication and will consult with you beforehand to find out their dietary requirements, preferences and personality so I can tailor my service to each cat. Of course I am also happy to clean litter trays and any spillages.

I live in the Coed y Cwm area of Pontypridd and am willing to travel up to 5 miles radius of here. If you have fish or plants that need feeding/watering, I'm happy to do that too, and I'll ensure no post is left in the letterbox or on the doormat. If two visits a day are required, I will open/close your curtains if you like.
