About Me

Cat sitter in Oxford

Hello there :) You've made the Puuurrrrfect choice deciding to check out my profile, thankyou!

My name is Liz and I'm 28 years old. My friends nicknamed me Kittyfly (a cross between a kitten and a butterfly) when I was 14 for being absolutely, chronically and passionately pussy mad.. it's stuck since then. I was always (and still am!) the one dragging behind everyone crossing the road to give the kitty I've spotted a good fuss.

I grew up in an animal loving household, from the age of 4 there were always pet rabbits and guinea pigs happily living in the garden, and my cousins visiting frequently with their dogs. My mum got 3 chickens when I was in my teens which I cared for too, and I would help my friend look after his snake, lizard and fish whilst he was away, and volunteered at the local stables mucking out the horses. My love for animals has always been prevalent so I have a variety of caring experience.

I was OWNED by my first two cats (a rescued mother and baby son) when I was 10 years old, and my love affair with the feline species began. Minnie the Minx, our tortoiseshell mummy, had been abused at her last home, so was unsocialised and slightly feral and skittish around most people, except me. She lived to the grand age of 21. Her gorgeous tom cat son, Garby, lived to 18 years old, and required a lot of hands on care the more frail he became. I was used to giving him different types medication and coaxing him to and from the vet.

I am currently OWNED by my 5 year old black and white tom cat Zelda. He is an indoor cat who I've raised and trained since he was a kitten. He is my handsome, soppy spoilt companion who I love very much. He especially likes being taken for a walk on his lead and having behind his ears scratched and rubbed. I could (and do!) do it for hours on end. I am an expert at creating games of catch and chase using toys and treats, its important to keep kitty stimulated as well as pampered. >(^_^)<

I am fully DBS checked from working as a Care Support Worker in the community with elderly, disabled and vulnerable clients of all ages around Oxford. Currently studying Art Therapy part time, so can be super flexible with visiting arrangement. I also have my own transport so travel is not an issue, mileage will be discussed for long distances.

I believe every cat has their OWN unique and wonderful personality, I look forward to meeting you and your beloved!
