Hi, I’m Elaine! I’m a freelance history documentary producer, and also a proud cat mum to a tabby called Sophie. Sophie who was meant to be a foster but quickly became a permanent addition to the flat (a very happy foster fail!). Living with her has taught me just how individual cats are, and how important it is to respect their routines and personalities. I love cats because they know their own minds, they’re independent and poised, yet incredibly loyal and wonderfully cuddly on their own terms. When I care for someone’s cat, I treat them exactly as I would my own, with patience, affection, and genuine care.

As a cat sitter, I offer both drop-in visits and overnight stays, depending on your needs. I’m an excellent (and responsible!) treat giver, generous with cuddles when invited, and always respectful of a cat’s boundaries.

Because I work flexibly, I’m often able to adapt my schedule and be available during weekdays or evenings when needed. I understand that cats thrive on routine, so I prioritise consistency and calm, attentive care.

Having managed Sophie cat's dental issues, I’m confident administering oral medication and monitoring health or behaviour changes. I’m also comfortable handling vet visits if necessary and staying calm and reassuring in those situations. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is in safe hands.
